OISC Training Programme

The OISC is committed to facilitate training for its Not for Profit Advisers and to encourage access to training for its For Profit Advisers.

Details of Community Training for May 2008 to June 2008 for the OISC regulated charities and community groups are now available for booking at the bottom of this page.

The OISC is running 14 training days in Immigration, EEA Law and nationality in London, Birmingham and Manchester from May 2008 to June 2008. The courses have been devised by expert Immigration Lawyers and have been amended to reflect the changes in the law. They are free and cover level 1 of OISC regulation.
Am I eligible to attend the training?
These courses are available only to OISC-regulated not-for-profit organisations and advisers, and also those not-for-profit organisations whose applications for exemption are currently under consideration. The training is aimed at those small not-for-profit organisations that do not have a large training budget.
How many people from my organisation can attend training?
2 delegates per organisation on London courses - no more than 3 in Birmingham and Manchester (extra delegates will be placed on waiting lists)
How many training courses can my organisation attend?
A maximum of 7 courses per term per organisation. This is to ensure that a wider range of OISC-regulated not-for-profit organisations can benefit from the free training .
How can I make a booking?
There are 3 ways to book a place on the courses - please book early to avoid disappointment.

  2. Fax your completed booking form to us
  3. E-mail the booking form to us at external.training@oisc.gov.uk
What we expect from you:
  1. Clear, legible instructions on the booking forms
  2. Attendance for the entire duration of the course
  3. Punctuality - arrive for the course on time
  4. Active participation in the course
  5. 3 working days' notice if you are unable to attend (preferably in writing by fax or email to external.training@oisc.gov.uk)
Please note:
Persistent failure to attend courses that you have been confirmed on will result in your name and your organisation's name being placed at the bottom of the list for all future training courses.
