PUNK /pʌŋk/ (puŋk) - noun
1. Any substance, as decayed wood, that smoulders when ignited, used as tinder; esp., a chemically treated fungous substance shaped into slender, fragile, light-brown sticks: the glowing tips are used to light fireworks, etc.
2. A form of hard-driving rock 'n' roll originating in the 1970s, characterized by harsh lyrics attacking conventional society and popular culture, and often expressing alienation and anger.
3. A venue that is taking West End nightlife in a new direction.
Punk is not just another club with a nondescript interior, charging extortionate drink prices and playing funky house, R&B and ‘eclectic beats’. Punk ushers in a more casual, hip policy that rebels against the establishment.

What the press say
“We absolutely love Punk. It is very cool and exactly what we're looking for”
Richard Dennen, Tatler - January 2008
“Punk is fast becoming one of the coolest clubs in town”
London Lite – September 2007
“We admire what they've done with the place... This is the best club EVER!”
Jane Mulkerrins, London Lite - April 2007

“A venue that's identity is more Shoreditch than Soho, and one that has music firmly at the top of its agenda. The result is something that's highly individual, lots of fun and highly coherent”
Alex Eyre, Night Magazine - April 2007
“For a more casual, non-conformist venue, look no further then Soho’s recent bar addition. In true anarchic style, this is a bar that refuses to adhere to the stuffy elitism of modern Soho style”
Square Meal Venues & Events – Spring 2007
